When I reached patna jn yesterday at 3.45 pm. I saw so many couple with their children are on plateform. A small girl (8-10 years) was asking with their father : papa ho, aehi tham rahaba, katto jan pahchan nae chhou tora ke patna me (Dad, where are we going to stay? We don't know anyone in Patna?)?

I stopped for a while and realise the pain of these family.

I went BGVS office bcz, 5 families of my frinds are staying there. Jaise hi pahuch, laga unko ki koi mera hamdard aa gaya. 2 minute ki shanti aur aankho me aanshu par jajwat par kabja karne ki koshish. hal chal me malum hua ki sab kuchh chala gaya. Jab shankarpur (Where we used to measure malnutrition grades of chidlren) , murliganj, kumarkhand, singheswar blocks ke nam aaye to mere liye bhi mushkil tha dukh chhipa pana kyoki, hamne apne samajik jeevan ka pahala path inhi area me pada tha 1993 mein.

Maine puchha kaha hai mere bindeshwari mandal, rekhaji, bhimji, anita ji, savitaji, vibhaji and a dozen frinds? them told traceless!! kisi ko koi pata nahi ki kaun kaha gaya?

Leelawati ek sarpanch hai aur meri achchhi dost hai, apne sas, bhawaj, 4 chhote ladake etc ke sath thahari hai, in bindu par kuchh nahi bol payi, sirf yahi kahi ki aha (you) aa geliyai, hamara khusi bhel.

Mahanad who is cook of BGVs said, dharmendar bhaijiho, hame yaha chhiyai aa hamar patni khurda (a village) me phasal chhai, ki kariyai.

Suresh shashi has come with his wife and 3 children sai, Bhaiji, hamara ke ette kam dilayi da, ham madhepura ja ki ki karbai.

5-6 bachche, jo sirf tukur-tukur hame dekh rahe the.

Aage dusare dera par jab gaya to kafi rush. Mai samjha ki tij (a woman' festival) ka rush hai, par jab najdik gaya to dekha ek 10x12 ke kamare men 27 log hai aur wo sab flood area se aaye hai.

Aisa marmik scene jab patna ka hai to udhar kya hoga, yahi sochate mai apna dera aa gaya.

Actually I was far from these area and only on phone contact and news contact. When i had asked to our frind to go there, they stopped me and told what benefit of your coming. They advised me to keep patience. when i told i am coming with relief they gave a lot of ideas. We have also collected some cloths. now we are going with a planned way.

Yesterday we have finished a meeting with Umeshji, manoj sunil, bir bahadur (all youth from patna) and sanjayji, ganeshji (on phone). then our previous plan vanished. We had decieded to organise 5-6 camps for 3 dist and distribute, polythene for shelter, food packets, medicine and cloths. But in new situation on yesterday meeting we decieded to provide food packets only on first time and also for 2 dist first. Sanjat told it will be inhuman if we organise camp in beldaur (Khagari) because Madhepura is more effected and food packets are needed there. Sanjay belongs to khagaria but he preffed to go Madhepura first. In Kharagia relief was more satisfactory also, but in Madhepura in above said blocks are routless.

We decided as below:

• Tonight Umeshji, Manoj, Sunil and i will start from Patna with materials. Today we are going to purchase materials.
• Tommorrow we shall prepare packets and the next day we shall march in any one block of Madhepura. It is known that there is no way to reach in these blocks except motorboat. So our local friend are arranging boats for 4 sept, otherwise we shall take on hire.
• We decieded for 1000 people.
• A package will be 4 kg.
• 2 kg. chura, @ Rs. 15/-, 1/2 kg. chana @ Rs. 49/-, in 1/5 kg, there will be salt, match box, Candle 5 pc. etc. so its cost will be Rs 100/- It will be purchased at Khagaria and will be packeted at there.
• We are going to purchase 300-500 sari, dhoti, gamchha, torches. it cost may be 175-225/- per packets.
• We are going to purchase biscuits, lemonchus, dalmot etc. for children.

In other hand a meeting is going to held at Saharsa on 3 sept and they will decide how can we help them. In particular Saharsa HQ fooding camps are regular by administration and less need for food. so supplementary food may need . Water purification, medicines etc needed here.

Finally it will be decieded on the spot. So I will in better position after 7th sept (after returning) what can help needed and where we can do somthing.

Because it is not matter of relief one time. Yah vinash leela to varso tak pichha karegi. Pani kamega, to logo ko health ka mamla, sal bhar khane ka mamla, unke ghar ka mamla, unki jivika ka mamla, unke survival ka mamala aur in sabke pichhe jo ek badi aapas ki ladai nazar aa rahi hai, usme hamsab kya kar payenge aur unki ladai ko kai jine ki ladai me badlenge, ek chunauti hai. Kyoki, isbat tatbandh tut kar naye ilake me tabahi machayi par sach to yah hai ki Koshi ultimately Bihar ka shok hai hi.
Bachho ki taswir jab samne aati hai to yah pankti barbas yad aati hai:
