- AID INDIA received the MIT Indus Technovators Award 2005 for our innovative work on Science Education and Village Libraries.
- Recognizing our innovative work in science education, Balaji Sampath was awarded the Ashoka Fellowship.
- For our work on improving reading skills in Tamilnadu, AID India received the Pratham USA Achievement Award 2006.
- For our work on Science Education, Balaji Sampath was awarded the Lemelson Inventor Fellowship.
- We received the Distinguished Service Award from Rotary Club of Madras South for our education work.
- Eureka Elementary School at Walodai, Kancheepuram district received DesignShare’s Merit Award for innovative design.

- For creating Eureka Books - a network that reaches low cost books to children in remote villages, Lokesh received the Young Achiever’s Award 2006 from Soroptimist International.
