  • AID INDIA received the MIT Indus Technovators Award 2005 for our innovative work on Science Education and Village Libraries.


  • Recognizing our innovative work in science education, Balaji Sampath was awarded the Ashoka Fellowship.


  • For our work on improving reading skills in Tamilnadu, AID India received the Pratham USA Achievement Award 2006.


  • For our work on Science Education, Balaji Sampath was awarded the Lemelson Inventor Fellowship.


  • We received the Distinguished Service Award from Rotary Club of Madras South for our education work.


  • Eureka Elementary School at Walodai, Kancheepuram district received DesignShare’s Merit Award for innovative design.
